Hey everyone!! Okay, the message is below this, but I'm just tellin everyone that I'm gettin a new e-mail address. If there's anyone out there who cares, let me know, and I'll send it to you. I'm gonna send it to the ppl on my friends list, I think.... If I have the time or feel like it, so u'd better let me know.

Anywho, that's all, just lettin ya'll know. I'm gonna try to get my name, so I can not feel retarded putting bookworm on everything. It's a great name, but I've used it since the 7th grade, if not longer. Prob. longer.

*sigh

Well, today's been long and painful. It started with me spilling water all over my leg. So that was awful. Third period was horrible, as usual. I had to walk. And that shows how out of shape I am. I walked almost constantly for an hour and a half, went around 50 times, but it killed me. My legs were twitching.

Then fourth. Wonderful, wonderful fourth. Kim gave out some starburst things when Ms. Basham wasn't looking, and I was gonna save mine, honestly, but she said the measure we were starting, and I had a long break, so I thought, well, I'll go ahead and eat it now, so I put it in, but it didn't take as long as I thought it would, so I was chewing really fast so I could swallow it and play, and she stopped!! So she caught me, asked if I was eating something, and natural instinct kicked in and I shook my head before I could think. Then I realized what I'd done. Not good. So then she said she was writing me up. What happends then? What does that mean? I'm getting written up for eating a starburst? What happens when I sneeze? I understand that I broke the rules, then lied (I didn't mean to, I promise, I panicked), but c'mon, I've never been caught before, what happened to the three-strike system???

Okay, I'm done now, tired of typing.

shhh....
03.26.04 (6:44 pm)   [edit]
I'm not here..... Mom's makin me clean, cause we're goin to Jason's tomorrow, so we've got to straighten up tonight. We've got clothes goin, I just got done mopping, now I've gotta go get all the rugs and vaccum them. Fun times.

Not to mention that Elizabeth called and she thought that Sweetheart was choking, so I had to go with her to the vet. Well, by the time I got over there, whatever had gotten lodged was gone, cause she was fine, and I got her out and she was eatin grass, and it was all good. But she took me to see James and Jon's shop. It's been across the road this entire time, and I've never been. Well, it's cool. I really like it. But since the Parsons tried to break in earlier this week (maybe last week, don't remember....) they've been sleepin over there. The had a sleeping bag on the front of their boat, it was sad. They're parinoid, but with good reason. I mean, c'mon, you've just started your own business, and already someone's trying to break in. They've got cameras set up, and a motion light, it's really neat. You can see the moths flying past, and fireworks (someone was shooting some off--crazy ppl). And they have a speaker so they can talk to ppl outside, and Banjo, the dog, was out there, and Elizabeth told him to sit, and he did! It was hilarious. He's so stupid.

Well, I'd better run, I want to watch T.V. at 9:00, and I can't until all my work's done.

Oh, yes, I'm so happy. It's Friday. And it's sunny. And it's not supposed to even be cloudy until Monday. That'll stink, but still, today's great!!!! Oh, happy day; oh, happy da-ay!!!!!

Tomorrow we have to go help Jason move. But it'll be cool, and I'll get my shoes back, so even that's good. I'm gonna buy him a dog for his birthday. It's in June. I can just give him one of Elizabeth's, but I don't think any of them'd like it. They're used to wandering around in the woods. No, I'd have to get a puppy that can get used to living in a fenced-in backyard......

Anywho, I really don't have anything else to say, just letting ppl know what's goin on in my world this weekend. I ain't gonna be here tomorrow, so don't try to call. Yeah, right, no one ever calls, except Tiffany, and that don't care. It's like a recording.

hello?
03.25.04 (6:47 pm)   [edit]
Well, I'm just sayin that I'm tired, and Tiffany Thomas is on the phone, talking about Jeremy Melton again. That's twice today. I'm so sick of talking to her. I feel bad when I think that, but it's true. She says the same things every day, and I'm so sick of it. I could carry on a conversation with her in my sleep. All I have to say is "I don't know" and that's good enough. But I have to sit here and listen to her, and that's driving me crazy!!! And Rachel, don't even laugh at me, I'm not in the mood right now.... **sigh, she needs new material.

She always talks about how Jeremy kissed the pig at Homecoming last year, and how he used to be on the announcements, and how he kissed her in front of Jack. And she always asks if he and Monica Huges are still going out. I never knew they were. And if I've seen them in the hall. She's always talking about how Monica smokes, and that that's bad, and does she know? It's really annoying when you hear it every day, too.

Well, I'm going now, coming up with something to get her off the phone.

The Lord of the Rings
03.25.04 (7:12 am)   [edit]
Belive it or not, The Lord of the Rings is based on the Bible. Yes, the movies America's in love with was written by a Christian, and every bit of it has meaning. I've gotten this off of this website: http://www.family.org/pplace/... So if you've got any problems, go to them, not me.

Finding God in 'The Lord of the Rings'
By Kurt Bruner and Jim Ware

"We always seem to have got left out of the old lists, and the old stories."

It is one thing to be small. It is quite another to be completely overlooked, an unhappy yet frequent experience for Merry, Pippin, and others of their kind. Of course, there were some advantages to obscurity. The folk of Hobbiton had been mostly left to themselves to enjoy the simple pleasures of life in the Shire. Other than Gandalf, none of the Wise paid them any heed. Tales of rising darkness were the concern of others, as Sauron considered hobbits harmless to his aim. Still, benefits aside, even tiny people take pride in their history and character and do not appreciate being disregarded as if their existence were of no consequence whatsoever.

Outside the Shire, the old lists did not contain any references to hobbits. If named at all, they were called "halflings," a less-than-flattering reference at best. Despite a long and rather fascinating story of their own, hobbits were for the most part ignored by the other inhabitants of Middle-earth. But one day all of that changed.

It began when Bilbo Baggins was summoned to adventure by Gandalf, propelling him and others of his race into a great story. Having obtained the One Ring, they knew obscurity was no longer possible. The once secluded hobbits were low objects of great interest, especially to the Dark Lord of Mordor.

The Least Shall Become the Greatest

"To tell you the truth," replied Gandalf, "I believe that hitherto—hitherto, mark you—he has entirely overlooked the existence of hobbits. You should be thankful. But your safety has passed."

Though small and simple folk, the hobbits had been chosen to fulfill a great purpose. Their innocent and benevolent nature was a key qualification for the task at hand. Frodo and his friends were being called to a quest that could not be accomplished through mere strength or wisdom. It required attributes untarnished by the allure of glory and fame.

Elrond described the task of Frodo as "one that may be attempted by the weak with as much hope as the strong." The weak, he knew, were not tempted by might. Frodo's restraint with the Ring qualified him to be its bearer. As Faramir observed, "I marvel at you: to keep it hid and not use it. You are a new people and a new world to me. Are all your kin of like sort? Your land must be a realm of peace and content, and there must gardeners be in high honour."

And so, in a wonderful twist of irony, the greatest task is given to the smallest people, and the nameless are called to protect the renowned.

God's Chosen People

Abraham was an aging nomad with no hope of having children. God chose him to father a great nation.

Joseph was an obnoxious, spoiled brat. God used him to save the world from starvation.

Moses stuttered when he got nervous. He became God's instrument to deliver millions of people and to receive the Ten Commandments.

David was a slingshot-toting kid tending sheep on the hillside. God made him a giant-killer and a grand king.

The 12 disciples were a ragtag bunch. But Jesus invited them to follow him and used them to change the world.

The stories go on and on. It is one of the great ironies of Christian faith. For some reason, God chooses those we least expect to accomplish his most important tasks. Some, like our hobbit friends, emerge from total obscurity to great fame. Others remain anonymous. All are used in ways they never imagined possible. And here is the mystery: They are chosen not in spite of weakness, but because of it.

Finding Strength in Weakness

To some, like the apostle Paul, a weakness must be given to offset the liability of strength. Among the best and brightest of his generation, Paul was highly qualified for success. "If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more," he told the church at Philippi, "circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee ... as for legalistic righteousness, faultless." But, as he later learned, these strengths were in the way of his usefulness: "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ" (Philippians 3:4-7).

Struck with blindness, Paul began his faith adventure in dependence upon others. He spent the rest of his ministry hampered by what he described as a thorn in the flesh, a constant reminder that God desires our reliance, not our competence. Certainly, he can and will use the latter. But first we must recognize with Paul that "when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Corinthians 12:10).

Do you remember what happened when Samuel went to the house of Jesse to anoint the next king of Israel? Certain that God wanted to use the strongest leader, Samuel chose the striking Eliab because he demonstrated the qualities of royalty. But God said, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (I Samuel 16:7).

Then whom does God choose? Whom does he call to fulfill his great purposes? In short, he calls the simple and the weak.

Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him (1 Corinthians 1:26-29).

*sigh
03.21.04 (12:32 pm)   [edit]
Well, tomorrow's Monday, back to school. *sigh, I really don't want to go. But it'll all be over soon. Only 40 days u say? Maybe I'll survive. I hope. Probably not. If no one ever hears from me again, I've gone to a better place...

Anywho, we went to Jason's yesterday, to see the house. I love it. It's got a living room with a real wood stove that's painted a light green, I think. It opens into the dining room that's a darker green, but it has some kind of hideous flowery wallpaper on one side...**shudder, told him to get rid of that.... That goes into the kitchen (which u can also get to through the living room). The kitchen's a dark red, and it's so cute.... Jason'd hate that, but it is. I like it. The living room also goes out into the yard, which is fenced-in and pretty large. It's got some maple and Eastern Red Cedar trees, so that's neat. I told him he needs to get a dog, and I'm gonna get him one, for his birthday, maybe, if Mom and Dad let me (and he doesn't kill me....). He needs a big one, like a St. Bernard. There's also stairs in the living room, he's got 3 bedrooms, the master has an incredibly small bathroom, and there's another one in the hall. He's turning one of the bedrooms into an office. He's got a garage that goes into the backyard. It's kind of small, but I like it.

I'm sure u didn't really want to hear all that, but u got to, anyway. Oh, yes, he doesn't have the keys to it yet, so the realitor had to show it to us, and I took my shoes off--all I had on was sandels--and, well, she left, and we didn't, then we left and my shoes didn't. **sigh, that's my life. But we went to Carissa's to see their new baby, and some of their friends from Florida were there, and they'd just been to Wal-Mart and bought a bunch of flip-flops, because they'd left their shoes, so it all turned out alright.

We watched Planet of the Apes while we were at Jason's. I actually enjoyed it. Weird. I never thought I would. I'd suggest it to anyone, but if u don't like it, don't blame me. It's incredibly confusing, and really makes no sense at all, but still good.

Well, I was gonna do a quiz about my life, like Rachel did, but I don't feel like it, now (sry Rachel). I'm goin. Anyone ever see The Money Pit? That's a great movie, but painful....

it's over **tear, tear
03.19.04 (3:11 pm)   [edit]
Well, today's Friday, so Spring Break's offically over. *sigh Short but sweet, I guess. Monday I went to Mamaw and Papaw's and spent the night. Wednesday we went to Chattanooga and "urban camped". We went to Ryan's for supper, and Steak and Shake for breakfast/lunch. It was the Envirothon team, so it was mostly to study, but we actually didn't do much of that, either. There was the cutest little cat there. It was a calico, and it just showed up when we were playing cards, and we let it sleep with us, then gave it beef jerky, and it got sick, then we asked anyone if it was theirs, but it wasn't, but one couple said they'd take it, but we didn't trust them, we said they would eat it, but Mom made us give it to them, anyway. It was so sweet.......

Okay, I'm okay. I've set the tent up in the yard and I'm gonna sleep out there with Pepper tonight, and tomorrow we're going to help Jason pick out furniture for his house. Busy, busy. Sunday we've got church, then back to school Monday. How much longer until summer break??????????

links
03.13.04 (1:29 pm)   [edit]
I've gotten rid of all my links, if anyone cares. I've got my favorite links in my favorites, and it's quicker to get to them from there, and the rest I can get off Rachel's, or someones.

Now I've got all the websites for my favorite shows. They're not in order, that's just how I found them on the internet. I don't even really like Nashville Star, actually, but I've seen it once or twice, so I figured I'd go ahead and put it on here.

touching evil
03.12.04 (9:01 pm)   [edit]
This is the coolest show, is anyone watching it? It's on USA. So cool. It's about a guy, and at the beginning he gets shot point blank, in the head. And survives. It was weird. How would that happen? He was dead for 10 minutes, then he came back. And was insane for a while. His partner asked what happened to him, why did he have to go to the mental institution--he said he lost a big chunk of his brain, and that caused him to have no shame. They were on an airplane, and he told her he could stand up, recite poetry, and stip, and not feel anything. A couple minutes later he did. All he did was pull the shirt over his head, but it was funny. He's just goofy. He really doesn't care what people think.

I think that would be so cool. That's my biggest problem, I'm worried about what people think. I really don't like that, but I am. I try to not care, I always say that I'm going to say excatly what I want to, when I want to, but I never do. Sometimes I do, though, actually. Bet no one's ever heard it. That's the problem. Whenever I do say something, no one hears me. That's what drives me crazy. Of course, if someone does hear me, then they go, "Wow! She can talk!!!!! Let's all make a big deal out of it and scream it out loud for everyone!!!!!!!" Okay, the show's back on, so I'm going now.

craziness
03.11.04 (8:11 pm)   [edit]
Wow, it's crazy here, people. I'm so glad I'm not Mom and Dad. I won't be surprised if they just freak out all at once. Amy's spring break was this week, and we went to Papa Ron's sometime, and the wedding came up. She'd already told me some stuff about it, so I wasn't so shocked, but Mom and Dad....well, they were. They want to have the wedding on a Sunday in May, 2005, in Manchester, by a vet. Very interesting, actually. It's a vet that Amy worked for when she was going to MTSU, Dr. Harris.

I guess it is kind of weird. I've always wanted to have a wedding in a church with a preacher, but I understand where they're coming from. We go to a Methodist, and Micheal goes to Church of God, I think. And there's really no place to meet in the middle, no church, anyway. And this building they're going to does everything (for a fee, of course). They set up, clean up, cater, all that good stuff. And our church goes through so many preachers (different story for a different day), that we don't exactly have any attachment to one. But Mom and Dad say that there has to be a preacher involved, and I agree. I think Amy and Micheal do, too. That's really the only way, in my mind. Call me close-minded, but that's the way I feel. God designed it, He should be the focal point. Of course the people getting married come a close second......

But that's not all. You already know that we're going to Mamaw and Papaw's early next week during spring break, and camping Thur. and Fri. Mom's got doctors' appointments the rest of the time. Now Jason's e-mailed, and the people that are selling the house are moving out this week, and he wants to go and check it out and buy furniture. Guess who gets to help. Oh, yes. Friday we're going camping, then Saturday we're going furniture shopping. What better way is there to spend spring break???

Well, I have the awful feeling that I've said a lot that didn't make very much sense, and you're going to be horribly confused if you even make it through this, but I really had to get if off my chest. No one at school really wants to hear about it, and Mom and Dad already know, so who else to turn to but my trusty computer (which hates me, btw).

Man, I just wrote another paragraph, I'd better go now, while I'm still ahead...........

spring break
03.10.04 (7:10 am)   [edit]
It's coming!!!! I can hardly wait. Just to sleep. That's all that's keeping me going this week. And that's just barely. Only two more days until then--can I make it that long? Doubtful.

At the beginning we're going to my grandparents' house in Spring City, so that'll be fun--maybe. Montana's gonna be there, so it's probably doubtful, but maybe I can sleep late....... In the end we're going on a camping trip with the Envirothon team. Oh, joy. Going to be so much fun. Can hardly wait.... Well, maybe it won't be so bad, maybe. It's just that Angel talks a lot. I love her to death(I hate it when people say that)--as a person, but I don't want to spend all weekend with her. But what can u do?

I am so sleeping as much as possible... Just thinking about it it wonderful. Okay, I'm going now, the bell's about to ring.

the passion
03.06.04 (8:09 pm)   [edit]
Wow, that was so.....amazing. Even if it had been entirly ficticious, it would be powerful enough, but it really happened. Even that would be amazing. But to think that He did that just for me. God did that for me.....wow. Everyone needs to see this movie. I don't care if you're a Hindu, u need to see it. As a matter of fact, when it comes to Tracy, I'll buy everyone a ticket. (if u live here...) Anyone that wants to go, I'll buy your ticket. Call me. If you don't know my number, call Rachel, she does. I'm serious. If I don't have the money, I'll make Mom and Dad give it to me. But I want u to see it. If you can't get a ride, I'll get Mom or Dad to come get you. I'll even talk to your parents about it if they don't want you to see it. Just so you have no excuse for not going. U have to tell me right out that u don't want to see this.

Well, I'm going now, but u need to see it. I'm serious. It's the only movie I've ever cried watching. It's so powerful. Wow.... It'll leave u speachless.

the passion
03.06.04 (12:06 pm)   [edit]
That's right, boys, I'm goin to see The Passion of the Christ. Pray for me, I don't do good with blood..... But I want to see this movie. I think it'll be really good. We've already bought our tickets, cause we're afraid they'll be sold out. Fandango. Where do u get a name like that? Interesting.... Okay, as u can see, I really didn't have anything to say, but I was just letting everyone know I was going to go see it.

And Amy's got her ring!!! It's so pretty. It's really 2 rings, Michael got her one, and Tristin got her the other. They fit together. It's the bigger diamond on one, and 2 smaller ones that fit around it on the other. It's a size 4 and it too big! Too BIG!!!! 5's barely fit my finger, I feel so fat..... j/k

Envirothon
03.03.04 (5:19 pm)   [edit]
Well, I couldn't think of a topic, and I looked down on the desk and saw where Mom had printed off something for Envirothon, so there we go. It also gave me something to talk about, cause I was also missing a topic. Who knows, maybe someone'll see my subject who's also in Envirothon, and we'll have something to talk about, and meet at the comp.... Who knows? Highly doubtful, but still a cool possiblility.

A little about Envirothon, it's a competition, you have teams, and the teams have 3-5 people on them. The most you can have is 2 teams, so that's 10 people (now u can c how I'm passing math  ). There are 5 topics: Forestry, Aquatics, Wildlife, Soils, and a current event. This year is urban forestry. I've got soils because I was in soil judging for 4-H this spring. It's actually slightly interesting, if u really want it to be. And I do, because I'm stuck with it, so I'd better enjoy it.....

Anywho, u go to this competiton, they pass out a bunch of free stuff like shirts or hats and pens and those little clippy things that people use for keychains that are very similer (only not nearly as safe) to the ones that mountain climbers use. At least that's what we got last year. We only had one team last year, we've got 2 this year.

So you go and they split u up--u stay with ur team, but they split everyone up to go to the different sections. It's a group effort kinda deal, everyone works together. Last year there were 2 teams at each station, so u have to share with someone else, getting all ur answers without telling the other team. Then u break for lunch while they figure the scores. Then they announce the winners, and they get whatever they get, then they put up the board telling how everyone did. They'll give the points u got from each topic, and whoever got the most points wins. We did pretty good last year, I think.... I don't really remember. We got 2nd on one of the topics, I think we might've gotten first on one, even. Prob. not, prob. just wishful thinking.... We were 6th out of 10, if I'm remembering right.

Well, I could say more, but I don't really want to, I've got 40 min b4 my show comes on, and I want to do some other stuff b4 them, so bye bye now!!!!!!!

guess what
03.03.04 (6:35 am)   [edit]
My computer's fixed!!!! I'm so happy. I was going to post this last night, but I didn't feel like typing anything. But I was on the internet with my computer!! It was a happy day.

That's really all I got right now, but there's a devotion goin on on my other blog, if anyone's interested. I doubt you are, but I thought I'd throw that out there, anyway.

Well, I'm off to do more boring stuff. Maybe I'll get ahead in this class and do a few extra lessons, so I don't have to do them later......

internet

Wonderful, wonderful internet....how I've missed you....it's been so long....all weekend without any news of the outside world, except for the T.V. But it's just not the same, I missed u....let's never be apart again...

Okay, I'm done now, I just had to let the internet know I still love it, even though I haven't been around. This weekend was long. And sad. Friday was a concert at our church. It was great. Except the band brought more people than we did. And the only "youth" from our church was Heidi, her sister and her sister's bf, and me. The rest were all adults who left halfway through, after Jessica (Heidi's sister) was baptised. But it was a lot of fun. It was a group from our preacher's last church, in Lascassas. That is so spelled wrong.

But our preacher's leaving us!!! It's so sad.... He disagrees with some of the beliefs of the Methodist church, like saying you can only be baptised once, so if you were when you were a baby, you can't do it again when you're saved. I did..... I never knew you weren't supposed to. I got saved when I was 12, and got baptised, but I'd been as a baby, too.
But he's leaving! They're moving to Colorado!! It's so sad.... His daughter is changing her membership to our church, though, so that's great. I don't know where she's going to live, but she's going on a mission trip to Sweeden, or Switzerland, I forget....it begins with an S. She teaches people how to study the Bible inductivly, which is cool. It's where you dig deeper, ask questions and stuff. I don't know the technical terms, or whatever. Their son is going to MTSU, I think. I haven't seen him in a few weeks. It was funny, because Suday the DS (District Superintendent-spelled wrong) asked for Bro. Tom's family to stand up, and Amy was the only one there. Natalie (his wife) had to take Emma (their adopted daughter) to the bathroom.

Well, I think I've typed a lot, but I always publish and look and there's not a lot, but there might be today. Anyway, I'm done, so I'm going now, to do something else.
